Our Customer Protection Policy
- All imported product is given a comprehensive pre-delivery inspection by our fully trained technicians prior to being dispatched to our customers / agents.
- Joy Ride Mobility Scooter products are supported by our nationwide service network of experienced, professional Mobility Scooter Technicians.
- Joy Ride Mobility Scooters carry an up to 5 year warranty including 1 year of labour covered within the period.
- Joy Ride Mobility Scooters will be registered with the NZAA (New Zealand Automobile Association Inc). Roadside service will be provided to all Joy Ride scooter owners 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Warranty Terms
Joy Ride warrants that its product is free of defects in workmanship and material.
Joy Ride, at its discretion will repair or replace, free of charge any part that proves to be defective within the warranty period. The warranty period for each of the components is:

This warranty is valid from the date of purchase only in accordance with the following conditions:
- This warranty applies to the Joy ride Mobility Scooter product only while the product remains in the possession of the original purchaser and proof of purchase is provided.
- This warranty applies to Joy Ride residential use only (unless specifically stated by Joy Ride to be warranted for non residential use) and is void when used in a non residential environment.
- This warranty excludes misuse, abuse including accidents, improper operation and negligence, or non Joy Ride approved product modifications and alterations.
- This warranty is in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied, and/or all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Joy Ride, and we neither assume nor authorize any person to assume for us any other obligation or liability in connection with the sale of these products. Under no circumstances shall Joy Ride be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, incidental, secondary or consequential damage of any nature whatsoever arising out of the use or inability to use these products.
Warranty Procedure
Joy Ride has a nationwide network of local mobility scooter service technicians. Joy Ride Mobility Scooters are fully supported to enable peace of mind with your new purchase.
Lodgement Of Claim
In the event of a claim arising, the problem can be lodged directly with Joy Ride Head Office on the free phone 0800 776 496.
Alternatively, the claim can be lodge at the place of purchase and the Agent will contact Joy Ride on your behalf.
Joy Ride will assess the situation over the phone and take appropriate action to solve the approved problem.
Joy Ride will make every attempt to have the scooter repaired in a timely manner.
Normally, all repairs will be completed in 24 to 48 hours.
If the job is approved as a warranty, no charge is incurred to the customer.
